Amazon Universal Wish List Guide Posted affiliate marketing app downloads On: 04/06/2011 Last Updated: 12/22/2015
With Amazon Universal Wish Lists you can quickly and easily make a wish list for you, your friends, your family, or anyone! Amazon wish lists are easy to share, and make gift buying simple and fun. To start, you will need to sign up for an Amazon account. If you have an Amazon account already, you can skip to Step 2.
The Amazon home page changes from day to day, however, if you're a new customer you should see the "New Customer? Start here" link near the center at the top of the home page.
Once you've completed the registration, you're good to go. Amazon will ask you to list a few of your favorite books/movies/brands; Amazon's product recommendation algorithm can be great for finding new products that other people with similar interests enjoyed. This step is optional, you may complete it if you'd like. When you're ready to start making wish lists, go on to Step 2.
First, navigate to the Amazon home page. Under "Your Lists" near the top of the screen on the right, you will find links to existing Lists and the option to "Create a List."
Click on "Create a List." You will be taken to "Your Lists" page and a pop up will appear asking you to choose the type of list you want to create.
You'll probably want to change the settings on your new wish list from the default options. Click the "List Settings" link at the top right of Your Lists page, a pop up will appear and you will be able to View Details of all your Lists.
On the Wish List settings screen you can name your list and make it public (so your friends and family can find it).
You'll be taken back to your freshly named, blank wish list. It's time to start wishing. It's important to log in to Amazon first, there is a bug with the Universal Wish List that breaks parameters in the URL of ArtFire items if you try adding items to a wish list before logging in
We've added an "Add to Universal Wish List" button to ArtFire items. Once you are logged into your Amazon account, you can quickly add items to the correct wish list. When you find an item you want to add, click the "Add to Amazon Wish List" button.
When the Universal Wish List window pops up (you may need to allow pop-ups depending on your security settings) it will have the name of the item photo and price automatically loaded.
When you've successfully added an item, you can either visit your wish list or continue shopping.
Once you've built your wish list (or even if it's still a work in progress) you can share your list with your friends and family. To get back to your wish list, you can either chose the "View this list" option after adding an item to your wish list or by navigating back to your wish list on Amazon (outlined in Step 2).
To share your list, click on any of the "Share"?options at the top of your Wish List.
To share with friends and family, all you need is their email address. Enter the addresses of your friends and family (separate with a space), complete the captcha, and send the e-mail! You can also share your Wish List with all your social media friends via Facebook or Twitter.
This is what your friends and family see when they look at your wish list. They can see if the item has been bought for you already. They can also click the "Shop this store" button and will be taken immediately to the correct ArtFire listing.

A Glossary Of Terms To Help You Get Started

/ Digital Marketing Blog / Online Advertising / So many acronyms in digital media - a glossary of terms to help you...
So I was reading a blog by Amnesia Razorfish - digital agency - and I was introduced to a new acronym today, NUI - Natural User Interface ,?and it got me thinking about the acronyms I use at work on a daily basis and how foreign they probably are to folk new to the digital media industry.
You will be able to find this information in many places on the web but for my blog readers, you may have heard it here first!
I've been working in online marketing in Sydney for the last 8 years and these are the terms I can think of just off the top of my head as I type, so they may be Sydney centric. I'll add to it over time so you have a glossary of terms.
CTR% - click through rate. Number of clicks by number of ad impressions shown
CPA - cost per acquisition - buying model for digital media planning and buying, as well as a reporting affiliate marketing about metric for clients to work out how much it cost them to acquire each action, new sale or customer
CPC - cost per click - buying model for display advertising online or paid search, as well as a reporting metric to measure the effectiveness of your media. How many clicks did you get for your advertising spend = new customers or prospects
CTC% - click to conversion rate - how many acquisitions/ sales/ customers/ sign ups did you get by the number of clicks that the advertising delivered
IR% - interaction rate - mostly used with rich media display banner advertising (expandable ads online) and video advertising
ROI - return on investment. How much value did you get back from the money you spent on advertising
PPC - pay per click (usually referred to in search engine marketing (SEM) or paid search)
SEM - search engine marketing - same thing as paid search. Most common is Google Adwords
SEO - search engine optimisation - non-paid search. Optimising your website so your content shows up as high as possible in organically in Google's natural search listings. Also called natural search or organic search
UAT - user acceptance testing - before a website goes live, a brand must do in depth testing to find all the ?bugs' or errors
UX - user experience. This is a technique/ skillset where an expert is employed to review a website to ensure that people visiting said website have the best possible user experience.
That gives you a good oversight of the acronyms used in digital media planning and buying and a couple of key reporting measurements or industry lingo
Update 29 September 2011: I came across another blog post with a glossary of digital terms that was far more extensive than mine. There is a lot of cross over and duplication in the digital terminology we've covered this this one really goes into detail in a lot of different areas of digital marketing, online advertising, internet usage, website design etc.
If you want more terms of reference for the digital industry, not just media buying, please comment and let me know.

Internet Marketing (1)

Here, we will be focusing on means of increasing your website's popularity through external sources of internet advertising such as Adwords, pay per click advertising and affiliate marketing.
One of the top controllable and targeted online advertising techniques is Adwords. The effectiveness of this technique of increasing website popularity has contributed in increasing the number of those using it, and hence the massive profits made by Google in recent times. The first question that comes to mind while trying to use this internet advertising technique is "how do these Adwords look, and where exactly are they seen?". Well, the answer is that your ad is displayed next to Google search results. Also, they are displayed on chosen content website link. Note that you are only required to pay when your ad is clicked rather than mere viewing of the ad.
In using Adwords for internet marketing, you are also presented with the option of smart pricing. This smart pricing opportunity requires a higher payment for a guaranteed sale. For instance, a situation is where you have a website for colon cleansing, and you write a review on a new and highly effective colon cleanser; eventually, a web visitor stumbles on an ad for the same colon cleanser in an Adwords text advert displayed on the 'same web page', clicks on it and subsequently make a purchase from the advertiser.
You can use Google's tools to determine the fee that is required on your per click, for your choice of keyword. It could be something above 1 dollar or 10 cents, and even more based on how popular or competitive your keyword is. When the price has been determined, you will assign a budget and affiliate marketing american express go ahead to make your payment to Google using credit card. It is now at your discretion to manage your campaign's length, and you can choose to close it when the money is almost used up. In most cases, some businesses decide to use the services of specialist in Pay Per Click Management.
This is a more popular internet marketing/advertising technique. The technique is basically a scenario where a company agrees to pay commission or incentives to another web-based organization or individual to advertise and market its product or service. For instance, an online company that sells forex software product could contract out an affiliate marketing program (based on agreed commissions or incentives) to a web-based company that offer information on forex products. The affiliate program is provided by the company needing the affiliate services, while the affiliate itself refers to the website that embarks on the promotion for the company who supplied them affiliate program.
Basically, affiliate marketing is a fundamental agency arrangement. This is how it works; an advert or banner is placed on the affiliate's site, any visitor who clicks on that ad is linked to the affiliate program owner's site. There is no payment to the affiliate marketer until the visitor makes an actual purchase.
There are also, other internet advertising techniques that yield good result.
